Tyron William Hatch

Originally from Durban, I played age group provincial-level rugby and cricket together with senior national baseball and softball. After finishing my Bachelor's degree in Education, I taught Science and Sports Science at a high school in Durban.

In 2011 I moved down to Cape Town and decided to join the fitness industry as a personal trainer. It was in 2013 when the CrossFit bug first bit after I attended a local competition as a spectator and went on to watch some highlights on the sport on ESPN.

I began investing time and energy into training as well as reading, researching and learning more about the various modalities the sport encompasses in an effort not just to be a better athlete but also a better coach,

By the end of the year the hard work had paid off and I was lucky enough to be on a Regionals team and CrossFit had well and truly become more than a sport but rather a way of live. A year later in 2014 I qualified as an individual athlete but decided shortly after this individual season that I wanted to make the transition to focusing purely on coaching, six year later I have never looked back. I was then and remain committed to being the best coach I can possibly be.
